San - Mononoke Hime

I've been to that amazing free open air that is Ciné Transat in Geneva, yesterday evening. And we saw Princess Mononoke again. It must be the fourth time I see this movie, but I'm still moved. I really love it. 

Plus, (big plus), I've been to Yakushima Island in Japan, last winter... The place that actually inspired the creator of the movie, the awesome Hayao Miyazaki. So it was great to see these animated landscapes again, now that we have seen the genuine Yakushima landscapes. 

By the way, the heroe's animal is not called Yaku-ru by accident... It's for Yakushima, of course!

J'ai été à ce génial ciné open-air gratuit qu'est Ciné Transat, hier. Et nous avons revu Princesse Mononoke. C'est la 4ème fois que je vois ce film, et je suis toujours aussi émue. J'adore ce film.

De plus, je suis allée l'hiver passé sur l'île de Yakushima au Japon. L'île dont les paysages ont inspiré l'hallucinant créateur du film, Hayao Miyazaki. C'était donc super de revoir ces paysages animés après avoir vus les paysage originaux.

Notez que si l'animal de compagnie du héros (Ashitaka) s'appelle Yaku-ru, ce n'est pas pour rien, c'est pour Yaku-shima, bien sûr!

J'ai donc dessiné un petit fan-art de San la Mononoke Hime, et je vous ai mis une photo du paysage originel. Ainsi qu'un petit hommage aux Kodamas, esprits de la forêt.

In Geneva, we are lucky enough to have a Bicycle fast delivery service, it's called the VELOPOSTALE, for letters and small objects between offices. These girls and guys rock, they go everywhere, jumping from a sidewalk to an other, between cars and buses. Sometimes I fear for their life, especially in winter. But they are quick as lightning, and sure look like they love their job.

This week, I saw one of these bike delivery guys carrying a --- bike. WUAT?! 0____o

Isn't it like a horse carrying a fellow horse?! =)

A Genève, nous avons la chance d'avoir un système de livraison à Vélo, qui s'appelle La VELOPOSTALE, ils livrent très rapidement entre les bureaux des documents ou des petits objets. Ces filles et ces mecs sont hallucinants, sautant d'un trottoir à l'autre, entre voitures et bus. Parfois j'ai un peu peur pour eux, spécialement en hiver avec neige et verglas. Mais ils sont rapides comme l'éclair, et ont l'air d'aimer leur job.

Et cette semaine, j'ai vu un de ces livreurs de la Vélopostale transportant... Un vélo! KEUA?! 0___o

C'est un peu comme un cheval en portant un autre, non?! =)

Why choose? / Pourquoi choisir?

I really saw this kid at my local supermarket! He's EPIC! And he's right, why choosing between awesome super-heroes, be them all!!!

J'ai vraiment vu ce gamin à mon supermarché du coin! Il est EPIC! Et il a tout à fait raison, pourquoi choisir entre plusieurs super-héros trop cools, sois les tous!!!

Birth Announcement Card Chick, Faire-part de Naissance Poussin

Here are the pictures I created for a Birth Announcement. I offered them a farm environment so the newly elder brother will like the card. He is 2 years old =). The tractor is especially made for him!

Hello There!

If you heard about our great first show in Lausanne and couldn't come, this is for you!
If you didn't know we had a show that autumn, I hope you'll like my pictures anyway =)

The show was about The Sleeping Beauty, we were fourteen to take part, and that's my participation:

I chose my sleeping beauty to happen in the fifties, so I could draw some nice fifties outfits and hairstyles.

Voici ma participation à l'expo que nous avons organisée à Lausanne cet automne. 

L'expo était sur le thème de la Belle au Bois Dormant.

Nous étions 14 artistes, et avons eu un grand plaisir à nous réunir autour de ce thème à la fois populaire et classique, qui n'a pas toujours été traité de manière classique =)

J'ai choisi de placer mon conte dans les années 50 pour que je puisse m'amuser avec les tenues et les coiffures fifties.
